Centre For Learning

Here in Secunderabad, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a school that is one of the best demonstrations I have seen of progressive educational theory in action, for the students who swing their morning way through the red gate each day and for me. I met with them for several weeks to experiment with a new model of storytelling workshop and they managed to haul out an obstacle and a surprise for me every step of the way.

This is one of those surprises; these dances were not created for my workshop, but they were practicing for their end-of-the-year show during the same period. One day they wanted to show me what they’d been working on before we began our discussion, and I was sitting front, center, and under. Enjoy and imagine.

The boys dance.

And the girls dance!
